“The challenge of disabling pain, when the patient needs us” is the epigraph of the presentation given by the manager of the Sine Dolore European Pain Foundation and president of the Spanish Association of Patients Against Pain (APDOL), Gemma Fernández, during the course of the 2nd National Congress of Doctors & Pharmacists SEMERGEN-SEFAC, held last week at the Illustrious College of Physicians of Valencia under the slogan "Medical and Pharmaceutical: Health solutions".
Fernández attended the Congress, invited by its organization, with the aim of representing patients to some extent and to give voice to more than 5 million people who, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), suffer pain Acute in Spain.
More than 500 professionals participated in this scientific event organized for the second consecutive year by the Spanish Society of Primary Care Physicians (SEMERGEN) and the Spanish Society of Family and Community Pharmacy (SEFAC), whose objective is to ensure patient safety, claim the value of primary care and bet on interprofessional collaboration.
