Sine Dolore reaches all villages with talks for patients with chronic pain and their families

In the framework of the V edition of Sine Dolore World Park, this Friday May 3 will be held informative conferences in all municipalities on the island aimed at patients with chronic pain and their families. It is a unique activity throughout the State organized by the Sine Dolore Foundation with the collaboration of the Menorca Health Area and the city councils, taking advantage of the presence on the island of professionals of recognized prestige pain specialists who participate in the congress of the Pain Forum Sine Dolore 2019, which is celebrated from today until May 5.

In a round table format, the talks will take place at 8:00 pm simultaneously in all eight municipalities and will deal with different aspects of pain and quality of life by professionals and experts of recognized international prestige. This activity, open and free for all the public interested in the subject, was presented this morning at the Hospital Mateu Orfila with the participation of the manager of the Health Area of ​​Menorca, Dr. Antoni Gómez Arbona:, and the coordinator of the Unit of Pain of the Hospital Mateu Orfila and president of the Sine Dolore Foundation, Dr. Jordi Moya.

The professionals who participate in the round tables will make short presentations, of about 15 minutes, with a plain and understandable language and there will be a question time for the public to raise any questions related to pain.

These round tables are also part of the educational task to be carried out by the Pain Unit of the Hospital Mateu Orfila for patients and relatives of a chronic pathology that affects twenty percent of the population, according to the World Health Organization ( OMS).
